Our History

Founded by brothers Norm and Charlie Jelke in 1988, JELKE’S Fabrication has grown to become a leading contract manufacturer, laser cutting supplier and fabricator for a variety of markets.

Having taken welding classes at a local trade school, Norm and Charlie were working for other fabricators when they started meeting engineers for local power plant component manufacturers around town. They quickly determined that they could open their own shop and put their welding skills to good use serving the busy energy sector.

Working out of a one-bay garage in Honey Brook, PA, the brothers quickly took on work. This required them to purchase a saw, a truck, and additional fabrication machinery. As they grew, they continued adding machine tools and expanding the services that they could provide to their growing customer base.

Their brother, Earl Jelke, joined the company in 1994, and they continued to take on work, and expand their capabilities as technology advanced over the years. As they grew, they developed a wide range of design and fabrication expertise serving a variety of markets.

Today, as part of the BenCo family of companies, JELKE’S has a team of 10, a shop full of the latest fabrication and manufacturing equipment, and access to the deep expertise and advanced manufacturing services of their sister companies BenCo Technology and BenCo Machine.
